Cooking from scratch for health
I have cooked from scratch most of my life. I learned to cook as a young child, Thank you, Mom! Because of allergies, I continued to cook throughout my life, avoiding processed foods because they simply had too many ingredients. Even gluten free products often have other items I simply am unable to eat.

This is very helpful in knowing how to adapt a recipe. You want to make sweet potato muffins instead of carrots, it has a basic muffin ratio. If you only have half of one of the ingredients it tells you how to cut the recipe for best results. If you cook for one or two, or for 10, it will help you adjust your recipes. I have made the lemon cookies, the dumplings, the banana and pumpkin bread, the pancakes and the muffins from this book. It is my favorite way to bake goodies. With coconut flour you need to use more eggs, which could be challenging if you are allergic to eggs, or prefer a more vegan method of cooking.
