It's Sunday again.  It's a beautiful cold day at my mom's place.  I am enjoying family and friends.  I am very happy to feel like I can travel again, although two long trips in two months is more than I usually want to do.

How are you?  Are you ready for Christmas?  What's your favorite Christmas tradition?  What did you do different this year?

I am light on the decor.  I pulled out my Mickey and Minnie Christmas mugs, I also have a "Joy" mug for my coffee.  I have poinsettia plates I bring out every year, a couple of Christmas bowls, and my Christmas water glasses.  I will put a large glass hurricane container full of ornaments onto my kitchen island.  This makes me feel festive.

I have had an amazing couple of weeks.  A dear friend had her wedding.  Outdoors, in December, the high was in the 70's, a bit breezy, but beautiful.  The food was awesome, she and her husband had about 20 guests total.  There was dancing, I danced with my sweetheart, and of course with the ladies.  I also asked the groom for a dance. So much fun, and I was happy to be a part of her day.

My work wasn't too rough.  I enjoy my coworkers.  We have a lot of changes going on, but that is nothing new.  Just have to go with the flow as things change.  I am debating future choices in my career.  Semi-retirement suits me, especiall with writing stories and non-fiction.  Almost done with one of my short short non-fiction books.  Then I will edit and publish, woohoo!

I am going to call this the year of weaving.  I gifted myself subscriptions to weaving magazines, I have borrowed a couple of books from my library, and I pulled the weaving books from my personal library out to the more public of my bookshelves.  I am going to set up my small heddle loom and pull out my card weaving supplies.  I already have plenty of cotton and linen fibers/yarns to play with.  Rug mats and table linens are on my future agenda.

Travelling with my sister, and enjoying it immensely.  We are at my mom's for a short time before we road trip back to her place.  Flying is like the old days, the airplane was full!  As was the airport.

I found another YouTube channel I want to check out, if I like it, I will tell you more.  If you like history you may have already found it.  It sounds enlightening.  I also found a blog that sounds intriguing.  I love finding new things.  My science book of the week is sitting next to my seat at home, so it has to wait until I return to Texas.  I am doing what I consider "light" reading on the road.  Much noisier here than in my home, less thinking space.

Enjoy your week.  Plan something fun.  Have something to look forward to!

Love, C
