Sunday Letters

Hi my friend,

How is your week going?  Are you living your dream?  Do you know what your dream is?  I am steering towards my dream life every day.  It's like a dance, two steps forward, a twirl, half turn and a bow!  I am getting a little nearer every day.

My declutter/clean up is still in progress.  A lot of things need to be listed on Ebay and Poshmark, and a few are going on Etsy, mostly vintage Pyrex and a few other vintage dishes.  I love the dishes, but my cabinet space is not much more than an RV.  I watch YouTube videos on RV organization for tips!  One thing I find helps me declutter is to take a picture and then declutter that spot.  I literally do not see the clutter.

My frugal win, no restaurant meals this past week.  We were supposed to go, but she cancelled, so I made an awesome shrimp dish.  I sauteed onions and homegrown peppers with spices and shrimp.  My honey made rice to go with his, it wasn't Indian food, but it was spicy and tasty,.

I also drink coffee, iced tea or soda stream waters.  My favorite flavor so far is the grapefruit.  I will choose that over name brand carbonated beverages any day.  I have a backup carbonated water, luckily, since this has become hard to refill.  My soda stream cartridges I got a sneaky way, I bought the entire unit, machine, bottle and carbonated bottle for less than the retail for a bottle for the gadget.

We went on an adventure to the Goodwill Bins.  They sell books 5 for $1.  Glass items cost very little but I didn't get them.  Soft goods like clothing and blankets are sold by the pound.  One of the books I got sells for a good chunk of what I paid. I think that regularly priced Goodwill goods are getting too dear for people to pay if they are in need.  Another good way to get clothing for less is to go to Saver's on Monday for the $1 tags.  They are a dollar all week, but people come on Mondays to find these.  I am looking for good, well made clothing THAT FIT.  The challenge is that sizes vary by brand and year made.

Work is the best and the worst.  Had a day that reminded me of the old days.  Then the next day SUCKED.  I am recovering by relaxing.  We  have a plant nursery trip planned.  I am going to put together an herb planter for my balcony garden.

Writing also is on my agenda.  I am writing my blog, writing fiction, urban fantasy and I have a couple of non-fiction nurse things in progress.

Our weather is finally better, 60's at night, in the 80's during the day.  I think of 60's during the day as fall weather, but that is more our winter in Texas.  Makes our garden zone challenging for me, summer is harder to grow things due to the heat, but I am learning.   Right now I have mostly house/balcony plants.  I want a few more flowering plants.  I have sun for a good chunk of the day, my windows face almost directly west.   What could you do more of this week to make life better?
