What's on my booklist?
I love to read. I have a book open on Kindle, a science based book beside my chair, and at least one hobby type book or magazine beside me. This week I am reading a series by Michael Anderle and ...... It's about a young man coming of age. He's a very sensible pragmatic youngster, which seems contradictory to me, but the story is engaging. I got the 3 books series on my Kindle, although I could also have gotten it on Kindle UL. I love Kindle UL because I read voraciously. My Kindle says I have read 193 weeks in a row. I am betting that is as long as I have had Kindle on any of my devices.
For non-fiction, I am reading on learning. Ultralearning is on my Kindle, I am taking the reading a little slower to get more out of it. It is both a techniques book and a bit of a memoir. I just finished one of Ronald Gross' books on learning "............". This one is written in the 70's, I find his many references to picking up the phone to find information amusing and out of date, but I enjoyed the reading.
I like Ronald Gross learning books. The one I just completed mentioned a "Learning Log". I adopted this habit many years ago when I first read his book. Since then I have maintained it off and on. From what I can tell, it would have been fun, enlightening and amusing to have it to review. I did review the log when I found it recently and I have started back up. I am going to keep my notes in Notion, because it fascinates me to have the ability to do so.
I also have been reading a lot about habits and the way consistency supports continuous improvement in life. As you can see from the lack of published posts, this is something I will need to work on. As long as my blog continues to be a priority, I will do so.
I haven't done a lot of menu planning lately. Usually it's a salad if at work, and a burger or something else plain and simple at home. One of my bosses has family eating keto and she gave me a couple of simple appetizer ideas I will be using at the big birthday party coming up.
I am really ready for some fall weather. It's been in the 90's this week. I would like to turn the AC off at least. I know many people are actually cold already. I am a touch envious.
I have settled in to a nice sized house with fantastic neighbors. I love it here, I am away from city narcissism. It's refreshing. My neighbor helped me for hours yesterday as I worked on unpacking to prep for the holidays. I want my house to be comfortable and pretty.
Enjoy life. Have something to look forward to. Dance everyday!
Love, C
